         Heart of a Child

Whatever you write on the heart of a child
No water can wash away.
The sand may be shifted when billows are wild
And the efforts of time may decay.
Some stories may perish, some songs be forgotten
But this graven record--time changes it not.
Whatever you write on the heart of a child,
Will linger unchangeably there.

Pray! Pray! Pray!
Just pray very hard for us down here in Haiti. I am not going to go into detail, but we are fighting a battle against Satan and the powers of this world. We need Christians to band together and pray. Pray for strength to be able to show Jesus' love to the girls in spite of everything else that is going on. Pray for Jesus blood upon our lives daily. Pray too that we would have the courage to fight the battle and not give into discouragement. Pray for protection too, especially in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for praying! because we can feel it.

more on a lighter note - here are some of the happenings of the last week.

I love this picture, cause this soo discribes how alot of our days are. :) Esp. the one day, it just seemed everyone! needing tender, loving care. And if they have a hard time catching our attention... they can get quite creative. :)

One eve. we had an invitation to go watch a soccer game, we didn't know anyone that was
playing, which wasn't as fun, but it was great just getting the girls out of our yard. We had an interesting ride over and back, 40 people squished in a little taptap! Everyone loved it though!

More on this picture another time, but this is a member of Congress!!! Yes, we had high up there U.S. folks in our yard the other day...

thank you again for your support, love and prayers!

...Have Faith in God.

Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will get it. Mark. 11:22-24

I am asking for prayer, especially these next 2 weeks. The girl's have Easter vacation during this time. Because of that they have alot of spare time, and also are out of their normal routine, which makes for a challenging bunch of girls!

Pray for these specific things:
  • We can relate to the girls in positive ways instead of only focusing on the negative.

  • Unconditional Love

  • God would give strength, to do extra projects with the girls

  • Wisdom in knowing how to reach out to each individual girl

  • We may be unselfish with "our" time

  • God would be Glorified

Thank you for caring!

prayers are being heard...

God is hearing your prayers!

He is working among our little girls. Keep praying that God would continue to work in their hearts! God has a special plan for these girls, even though there are "truly, challenging children", He can use them, we were reminded of that tonight. It is a blessing when He sends things into our lives to remind us that He cares and is always here with us.

-Right now one of the little girls, Louise Kentia, is sitting here with me and is enjoying soaking in the Word of God. She is reading the Bible outload, I love the sound of it, so encouraging!

We see so many hurts here in Haiti: walking down the road, working closely with people...
Esp. in our little yard here, with 31 girls that are so much like our own little girls. Living with them, day in and day out, we are given a little window into their hearts. It is hard at times to really know how to help them deal with their hurts and also how to help them heal. But with God's guidance, wisdom and strength, that is the only way that we can lead them to Jesus.
Pray for us as we reach out to each individual little lady. Each one is very special and has a heart that longs for love and acceptance.

till next time...
