party in the kitchen tonight...

...this was supposed to go on last night, and then it wouldn't upload, so...

The girls alway LOVE helping us in the kitchen and it also gives us time together.
Tonight the menu is mexican chili, southern cornbread, brownies and pears. I got Evenante and Sherlley to come in and help me. We had soo much fun! they were little chatterboxes, had lots of questions... and loved singing with the cd that I had in the player! here are some pictures...

meet Belanda!

Belanda

She is turning 10 in July and
is our little, organized lady, that loves to tease and make others yell. :)
She is always full of energy, unless she isn't feeling well. At times it takes awhile to help her remember that it is important to be obedient.
Loves singing and is often heard above all the others,
(unless she is being her ornery self and decides that she doesn't feel like singing)
Her clothes box is always very neat and orderly, keeping her clothes nice and new looking is important to her as well.

She is talented, and diligent with crocheting!
A couple weeks ago, we had rung the bell for them to go to bed, and her ornery self started coming out once again. She decided to sit in this bucket instead. (it was the bucket that they put in their house during the night, it is called the "peepee bucket"), don't ask me why you would sit in it. Well, to her surprise she couldn't get out of it. :) so we left her sit in it for a couple minutes longer... and when we went to help her out, she was wedged in so tightly it took a little bit of effort to get her out. :)

My prayer for her is that she could be willing to give her heart to Jesus. And be that shining, bubbly light to those that are seeped in darkness.
