So much to be thankful for…

Somedays we forget
To look around us
Somedays we can't see
The joy that surrounds us
So caught up inside ourselves
We take when we should give.

So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be.
And on this day we hope for
What we still can't see.
It's up to us to be the change
And even though we all can still do more
There's so much to be thankful for.
Look beyond ourselves
There's so much sorrow

Our yard tends to flood very easily…so after 3 inches of rain on Thursday night, this is what it looked like…

Friday afternoon we piled onto the truck and drove around the town of  Leogane.

This is about a mile down the road from our yard.

 

For those of you that have been looking at cnn pictures (mainly my dad :), this picture may look familiar.

Thanks to everyone who was praying for us!! We had some rain, but very little wind…nothing like we were expecting. Continue praying for the people whose houses are sitting in water and have no dry place to sleep. -Mandie

a new punishment. dieuvenise and

janise  were having a hard time getting

along so i tied their wrists together and

they spent a few hours like that. i didn’t

tell them they have to sit, but at this

point they were choosing too. needless

to say, they weren’t feeling very

photogenic. :)
